All About Our Community

🍁 Where are you located?

We meet weekly at the MAS NJ Center in North Brunswick, NJ.

🍁 What day do you meet?

We meet every Wednesday of the week from 11am to 3pm.

🍁 Can I drop off my child?

No, we are not a school and do not accept drop off students.Β  Every mother is expected to, not only be on premises during classes, but also be engaged in every aspect of the learning process.Β  Sitting on the side and watching everyone else participate is NOT participating.

🍁 Are you following Common Core Standards?

No, we are not actively matching our learning goals and objectives to formally state-mandated standards.Β  However, it is very likely that we are indeed reaching many of those goals, naturally.

🍁 How do I determine what group level my child would join?

We group children based on social maturity and ability.Β  Generally speaking:

Prek 3 & 4 are two separate classes, however are similar in our hands-on approach. Students in this level experience story-time, sensory boxes, toys, and songs to help them engage with their peers and surroundings. They include children 3 & 4 year olds and require mother’s to stay in the class the entire time.

Level 1 is appropriate for children from five to six who are unable to write, focus for long periods of time, and need lots of hands-on activities and one-on-one guidance from others.

Level 2 is appropriate for children from six to seven who are able to trace or write small words or sentences, write their own name, and need more time to move and learn.Β  Students experience less discussion time and generally are working on projects that require them to cut, paste, organize, label, trace, and move.

Level 3 is appropriate for children from eight to nine who are able to comfortably read and write more complex words and sentences on their own, can sit and focus for longer time, and need less teacher assistance to complete projects. Students experience more discussion time and complete open answer writing prompts, express personal opinions, conduct experiments, and other activities that require more attention and evaluation.

Level 4 is appropriate for children from ten onwards who are able to construct essay responses, debate with others, work in small groups, complete experiments and complete research and investigations with limited help from teachers or others. Critical thinking and debate are stressed for this level.Β  Students also experience the most independence and highest level of rigor during class time.

🍁 Is this a faith-based co-op?

Yes, we are a Muslim homeschooling co-op and create our curriculum to include the mention of Allah s.w.t. to be the ultimate force behind all that we experience in our lives.Β  We also ask students to pray in jamaat for Dhuhr prayer for those who are of age or practicing.

🍁 Do you have open enrollment year-round?

Possibly, if we have not yet reached our max enrollment for any level. Otherwise, you can try again the following enrollment period. Β

Generally, we open enrollment for the following school year May 1st.Β  We suggest you sign up immediately to ensure your first choice of options for mandatory roles.

🍁 What is your tuition?

Our annual tuition is $700 per enrolled child. $250 non-refundable deposit is made at the time of the enrollment, while the remaining balance of $450 is due later but before the beginning of the school year.

We also offer baby-sitting for an annual fee of $350.

🍁 What is your refund policy?

We understand plans can change! If your child can no longer attend, you may request a 50% refund up until the second class.
Once the second class has passed, we’re not able to offer refunds.
